Where is Oxford Art Academy located?+
Our school is at 14 Oxford St, Unit 201C, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 9S3. We welcome families from across York Region, including Thornhill, Vaughan, Markham, Aurora, and Newmarket.
What ages do you teach?+
We teach children from around age 4 through teens. Weekly classes are grouped by age and skill level, and our seasonal camps are for ages 5 to 13.
How much do art classes cost?+
Classes are priced per session: $25 + HST for a one-hour class, $48 + HST for two hours, and $48 or $78 + HST for combo. Enrolment is by term rather than by year, and a term can be paid monthly, in two payments, or in full for 5% off. An art supplies fee of $185 + HST applies once a year. Joining partway through a term costs only the classes remaining in it.
Can we try a class before registering?+
Yes. We offer a free trial class so your child can meet the teachers and try the class before you register. Contact us to book a time.
Do we need to bring art supplies?+
No. All materials are included, from pencils, paint, paper, and canvas in traditional classes to iPads with Apple Pencil and Procreate in digital art classes.
What programs do you offer?+
Weekly drawing and painting, digital art on iPad with Procreate, a combined traditional plus digital package, and private lessons with portfolio preparation. We also run summer, March Break, and winter break art camps, and host art birthday parties.
