Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use this website, book a trial class, or register for a program with us.
Last updated: September 1, 2026
About These Terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Oxford Art Academy and apply when you use this website, book a trial class, or register a student for a program. Our School Policies and our Privacy Policy form part of these terms. If anything in these terms conflicts with what we confirmed with you directly in writing at registration, what we confirmed with you applies.
Who May Register
- You must be at least 18 years old to register a student or to make a booking.
- If the student is under 18, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and that you are authorised to agree to these terms on their behalf.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, and for telling us if it changes.
Booking a Free Trial
- A free trial class is offered subject to availability.
- Submitting the trial form is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your place is confirmed only once we reply with a day and time.
- Please tell us as early as you can if you cannot attend a trial you have booked, so the place can go to another family.
Registration & Tuition
- Classes are priced per session. Enrolment is by term. Total tuition is calculated individually at registration, from the start date through the end of that term.
- All tuition and applicable fees are subject to 13% HST.
- An art supplies fee applies, and iPad rental is optional and charged only where an Oxford Art Academy iPad is used. Current amounts are shown on our program pages.
- Registration is confirmed when you accept the amount and terms we send you and payment is arranged.
- Cancellation, make-up classes, school closures, reserved spots and payment options are set out in our School Policies, which form part of these terms.
Changes to Classes
We may need to adjust class schedules, substitute instructors, combine classes, or cancel a class because of low enrolment or circumstances outside our control. Where we do, we will tell you as soon as we can and arrange an alternative.
Conduct in Class
We ask students and families to treat our staff, instructors and other families with courtesy. We may ask a student to leave a class, or end an enrolment, where behaviour puts others at risk or repeatedly disrupts teaching. We would always speak with you first.
Communication
When you give us your contact details you are asking us to reply. We use them to confirm bookings, answer questions, and tell you about schedule changes and closures that affect your child. How we handle those details is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Website Content
The text, photographs, artwork and design on this website belong to Oxford Art Academy or to the students and artists who created the work. You may not copy, republish or use any of it commercially without our written permission. Artwork a student creates in class belongs to that student.
Accuracy of This Website
We keep this website as current as we can, but class times, prices and program details change. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance on its own; the terms we confirm with you at registration are the ones that bind us both.
Third-Party Services
Bookings and registrations are handled through TutorBird, our booking software. When you submit one of those forms you are also using TutorBird and are subject to their terms and privacy practices as well as ours.
Liability
This website is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of Ontario.
If Part of These Terms Does Not Apply
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and material changes will be brought to the attention of families currently enrolled. Continuing to use our classes after a change means accepting the updated terms.
