Our Approach
Our classes combine professional artistic education with creativity, fun, and individual guidance. Students learn important artistic foundations such as drawing, painting, composition, color theory, and creative problem-solving while also exploring unique and exciting projects that make learning inspiring and enjoyable.
We welcome students starting from approximately 4 years old through teens, with classes available Monday through Sunday for maximum scheduling flexibility. Whether your child attends once a week or multiple times, we adapt to fit your family's routine. Our school is located in Richmond Hill and serves families across York Region, including Thornhill, Vaughan, Markham, Aurora, and Newmarket.
Programs for Every Goal
Whether your child wants to pursue art professionally, prepare a portfolio for art school, or simply enjoy art as a creative hobby — we have the right program. Our teaching adapts to each student's goals, interests, and skill level.
Creative Path
Ages 4+ · weekly 1-hour group classes
Drawing, painting, watercolour, acrylics and mixed media, project by project. For children exploring art as a hobby and building the fundamentals without pressure.
Professional Path
Intermediate & advanced · weekly 2-hour classes
Longer sessions for students working on technique seriously: observational drawing, value and colour theory, composition, and sustained multi-week pieces.
Portfolio Path
Grades 7–12 · private lessons, minimum 13 weeks

Do students need previous art experience?+
No. Classes are grouped by age and adapted to each student’s skill level, so complete beginners and experienced students both progress at their own pace.
What can my child work towards?+
Three paths: the Creative Path, weekly one-hour group classes from age 4 for children exploring art as a hobby; the Professional Path, weekly two-hour classes for intermediate and advanced students building technique seriously; and the Portfolio Path, private one-on-one lessons for students in grades 7 through 12 preparing an application portfolio.
Which art programs do you prepare portfolios for?+
York Region regional arts high school programs, including Arts Unionville at Unionville High School and Arts Mackenzie at Alexander Mackenzie High School, and post-secondary art programs including OCAD University, Sheridan College and York University AMPD.
What ages does the school teach?+
Group classes start at approximately 4 years old and run through the teen years. Summer, March Break and Winter camps are for ages 5 to 13 in groups of up to 10. Private lessons are open to teens and adults as well as younger students who want one-on-one attention.
